Der Web-managed Switch ZyXEL GS-1548 bietet preiswerten Anschluss mit Gigabit-Speed. Ein intuitives Web-Interface bietet alle Konfigurationsmöglichkeiten, die ein kleineres Unternehmen benötigt.
Das Modell unterstützt die Funktion zur automatischen Erkennung und Priorisierung von VoIP-Gesprächen. Die Priorisierung ist geeignet für Netze mit nur einem Switch, kann jedoch im Gegensatz zu den 3XXX- und 4XXX-Modellen nicht per 802.1p oder Diffserv weitergegeben werden. AutoDoS ist eine Funktion zur Abwehr der wichtigsten Denial-of-Service-Attacken. Dies erhöht die Sicherheit des Netzes nach innen.
